This is a new type of scientific congress aimed at bridging the science-policy-practice nexus for achieving sustainable development. The process consists of a kick-off day, three guided discussions following the Delphi method. All events take place twice to accommodate all time zones and encourage global participation. The Labs are supported by a Novo Nordisk Foundation grant and the Future Earth network.
For the Transformation Labs process, we ask experts in their fields of expertise to pose a challenge based on the six entry points for sustainable development. The 2019 Global Sustainable Development Report was commissioned by the United Nations to advance the scientific foundation for the transition towards sustainable development.
